Starting a business the Symergy Way.

We tend to forget the reason why a business comes to life in the first place: to solve problems.

Every single person in this world has been blessed with a gift to solve a problem - this is our purpose. The environment they find themselves in, the daily challenges they go through, and their beliefs are examples of what makes us unique. We are uniquely positioned in this world to solve problems that we are destined to solve. Some do it as doctors, some as accountants, some as lawyers, some as engineers, some as cleaners, some as leaders, others as followers. Whichever role we fulfill, its importance in the grand scheme of things cannot be understated. This provides an opportunity to discuss what Symergy is about.

Symergy is your unique ability to create wealth and value for your environment, through a system that aligns creativity, knowledge, time, habits and willpower with your purpose. It's derived from the word "synergywhich means "the sum of the collective effort of the "whole" is greater than the sum of the individual parts. This definition birthed the creation of the SSSF framework (Seven Sygma Symergy Framework), which measures seven individual elements all at work within us.

The SSSF creation is inspired by scriptures from the bible, being Genesis chapter 1 and Deuteronomy 8 verse 18. These elements don't work alone, but in unison and alignment with the main element - purpose. The main assumption of the framework is working with your strengths (your gift) to create value to achieve a purpose. The elements are as follows:

Purpose: This is our why, which becomes our vision. From a business point of view, the purpose is the problem we are looking to solve. It's a problem we become so passionate about solving, something that keeps us up at night. The question driving our purpose is "what problem am I meant to solve?". The focus is solving a problem related to one of four things: a need, want, providing knowledge and saving time.

Creativity: We align our creativity with our purpose through creating a solution from scratch or using adapting an existing creation. Every solution to a problem starts in our mind before we bring it to life. We think about the plan we need to solve the problem, the resources, the time, who our affected target market is. This is the "how" of the framework. It takes our strengths into consideration, environment, people, risks, challenges and anything we can think of that makes the solution viable. The solution adapts as we learn more about the problem we're looking to solve, being dynamic as opposed to static.

Knowledge: This is what we know, experience we gathered over the years from learning, studying, conversations, networking and active working. Every conversation and exchange that takes place is a transaction from which we gain something. We never walk away empty handed; it's always about perspective. We align part or all of our knowledge with our purpose. Knowledge that is useful will inform what the solution will look like. Here we engage our target market to find our whether our intended solution is fit for purpose or needs more refinement. It's also the area where you will get support from people aligned with your purpose offering their skills, or the community to buy in to your solution.

Time: This is dedicating time and aligning it with your purpose. It can be spending time thinking about your purpose, your solution or both. One must consider what development is required, whether we need to spend time to advance our knowledge or learn more about our target market. Waste must be considered, because not spending time in our purpose leads to waste. Every second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year counts when operating in our purpose.

Willpower: This about authority, decision-making and leadership. It's about overcoming fear, anxiety and doubt when we're looking to solve a problem. Not being scared of going into business, not being scared talking to people and not being scared of making decisions. Every decision aligned with our purpose matters. It's about ownership, accountability and stepping up by showing up every single day. We know the goal we are working towards. Alignment for everyone involved regarding the purpose is key.

System: This is the solution being offered to the market. Here it's about all things and everyone involved doing what is expected of them to achieve the desired results. Input + process = output, that is what defines a system. The purpose of the system is to be the solution to the problem it was setup for. The system must be clear, meticulous and uncomplicated. Complex systems with too many variables discourage automation and delegation. Once the system is perfect, then we can multiply and make it available to more people to access it.

Habits: Habits follows systems but also plays an important role in its setup. Those repetitive, routine tasks we need to do every day to ensure successful implementation of the solution. It's about automating the routine tasks and managing the non-routine tasks through delegation and education. The micro details matter, because it ensures the system remains obedient to its purpose. Habits also follow decisions. This means there is no such thing as good or bad habits, but good or bad decisions. Habits as a result of bad decisions are unhealthy habits, whilst healthy habits exist because of good decisions. Habits must align with purpose, discarding all unhealthy habits that doesn't align.

In closing, we have symergy to solve problems we are uniquely positioned to solve. It's a matter of perspective. No problem in this world cannot be solved. It only requires patience, obedience and availability, willingness to step out of our comfort zone. Money is an ability and we trade that ability on a daily basis to provide for our family. You have what it takes within you to make loads of money. It comes down to being patient with exploring how to leverage your symergy (ability).

Be emboldened, empowered and enabled. God bless.
